Cabbage sabzi is so boring :( but there are times in Blr when you get nothing but ghiya, lauki and cabbage! (which one is worst is so difficult to decide)
I tried something new with cabbage and it turned out better than it usually does. The experiment-
I small cut cabbage
potatoes cut into slices
Boil the two together with salt and haldi as per taste. If cabbage is fresh, you may not need to add water, else add 1/5th cup of water. You can save this for making the next morning also.
When making sabzi-
1 cut onion
tomatoes as per taste
garlic and ginger paste as per taste
Heat oil in pan. Add onions and saute till translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste. When onions turn pink, add tomatoes and cook till done. Now add the boiled cabbage-potatoes. Add some water if needed and cook till done. You may add some masalas as per taste but this served hot with rotis tastes good enough.
